As Spring turns into Summer, students could find themselves looking for a way to enjoy school while also being outdoors. Over the years, Mr. Stoverink has been overseeing the Garden Club. It started with a few seniors who wanted to create a garden club. Now, the club is open to any interested students who may drop in at any time. Garden Club is student-run and works as a democratic body. Mr. Stoverink describes the club as, “under construction” since there is still room to improve. For example, Mr. Stoverink and the members wish to make the Garden Club self-sufficient and complete.
Mr. Stoverink and the community appreciate any help that is offered. The Garden Club has a strong group of students and members who want to help. The members wish to feel accomplished and impact Quakertown Community High School each year they contribute to the club. Students will also learn and care for different types of plants while in the club. Over the years, the Garden Club has performed Plant Sales, and other events for the school. Mr. Stoverink and the rest of the members cannot wait for the next year of students to join and become helpful group members.
