The 2024-25 Field Hockey team has been a hit! Last year the Field Hockey team made it to the playoffs and made it pretty far. They have been on a winning streak with 6 wins and 1 loss. They are on the grind and thriving while playing these tough teams. They beat Hatboro-Horsham with a whopping 9-0 victory. They also beat Abington, Upper Dublin, Springfield Township, and Plymouth Whitemarsh. Unfortunately, they lost to Wissahickon but are ready to play them again for another win.
Last year, our Panthers Went 15-3-1 and made it to the second round of playoffs. Sadly, they lost to Avon Grove 4-2 but still powered through. They are fired up to make the playoffs and take the victory to win it all this year.
Although the 2023-2024 field hockey team lost dominant seniors, they still held their ground. Sophomore, Sunday Draper, has made an impact on our Panthers. In the 2023-2024 season, she was one of the top 100 athletes in the 2027 class. Sunday Draper states “ Being top 100 athletes felt great, but I am still working because I want to get top 10 athletes this year for the 2024-2025 season”. Former freshman, Cameron Landis states “ Sunday works hard and thrives. She is not just a good athlete but also a great teammate”. Sunday Draper’s skill level is extremely high, but she should be recognized for her sportsmanship with her team and opponents.
“ We don’t just play together we bond as teammates” Sunday draper states. This team has a bond like no other. They participated in town at the Saturday sunset social, helped set up the concerts in town, and had team bonding activities at players’ houses. Every time they step out on the field it’s not just for themselves but for each other. This team has the same mindset going into each game. They are ready to win the conference again. Something the Panthers thrive at is their corners. These corners are nice and quick and get through any d efense. Cameron Landis states “My team does not make me nervous about playing on the field, they make sure I am hyped, and light me up when I’m about to step on the field”.No matter what the score is, the Lady Panthers have fun and continue to make it through the 2024-2025 season with many wins.
I have high hopes that this team will make it to the p
layoffs. These lady panthers will make it to playoffs if they keep up the thrive. This team does not just have a strong athletic ability but a strong connection with each other. I think that with a strong connection, you can accomplish anything. Other teams may argue but you will never catch this team doing that. I hope that other people can recognize this team as I recognize them.
